Gržetić Family Beekeeping

Guido Gržetić is one of the first registered beekeepers in Istria. He has been involved in beekeeping since 1967, initially as a hobby and later as an additional source of income, with stationary hives at various locations from Zarečje to the Butoniga valley. He is distinctive for using exclusively "half-super" frames in working with LR hives as honey chambers. Since the very beginnings of organized honey assessments in Istria and Croatia, the honey of the Gržetić family beekeeping has been regularly among the most awarded, not only for acacia but also for other types.

A wide range of products can be tasted at their estate in Zarečje near Pazin, offering acacia honey, chestnut honey, meadow honey, forest honey, propolis, beeswax, decorative candles, walnuts in honey, hazelnuts in honey, and honey in comb.
