The church of St. Peter is located on the southwest side of Trviž, on the old cemetery. The church which dates back to the 11th century, was rebuilt several times and acquired its present form in the 19th century. The church has a wooden altar from the 17th century painted with beautiful vivid colors, the work of a provincial workshop. The interior is adorned with medieval frescoes and a Glagolitic inscription. During conservation work in 2004, a Gothic tabernacle was also discovered in the sanctuary. The church also has an interesting painted wooden ceiling, which you can read more about HERE.
